Being a photographer was not something that I sought out to do in life, it just kind of happened. My mom was always taking pictures of my family throughout my childhood and it drove me crazy, but I learned how to see the world through her eyes and I will forever be grateful for that.

In 2006 we got our first "real camera", but it was for my wife to use...however she didn't use it as much as I did. I started to play around with it and I was hooked. Ever since I have absolutely loved capturing moments of life happening around my family. Then it became something that we could bless other people with. My first wedding that we (my wife and I) shot happened in 2011 and we have enjoyed every moment since!

Jess and I are high school sweethearts. We met at Mattawan High School and have loved still being in the Kalamazoo area. We have 3 great kids. Our life is incredibly busy with them and balancing all of life's adventures, but we wouldn't have it any other way! (You can see them below!)

I will say that my favorite thing about taking photos is getting the opportunity to build relationships with my clients. I have made so many connections through photography and feel lucky to have had this opportunity!
